HOST AN EVENT
Every weekend, local community members, artists, small businesses, performers, and groups organize events or set up information tables on the Open Street! 31st Ave Open Street coordinates and shares all these events, and sometimes organizes our own.
All programming is free and open to the public. If you’re interested in hosting an event, performance, or table, read on for details!
Bring your event to life!
Want to host an event, vendor market, table, or meetup on the Open Street? Select “Plan an Event” below and fill out the form with the details. Our volunteers will be in touch as soon as they’re able to review your plan.
If you’re looking for something else or just to get in touch with the 31OS team, select the “I want general information” option instead.
Choose which form applies to you to get started:

The Programming Application Form (above) offers programmers event promotion, materials, and support.
-
First is visibility: we’ll be able to share your event on our website, newsletter, and Instagram, which has over 10,000 followers!
Second is equipment: thanks to donations and city funds, we have lots of tables, chairs, and other items to offer programmers, free of charge.
And third is coordination: when you’re on the calendar, we can have volunteers assist with setup and breakdown!n goes here

Yes! But there are some rules to keep in mind.
Given the Open Street’s close proximity to residential homes, we have to be considerate of our neighbors.
We only allow ‘amplified sound’ on select dates each month, which we designate our ‘live music showcase’ day. You can read our live music guidelines here. Please read them closely before moving forward. -
No! We encourage organic use of the Open Street, for your friend’s birthday, a hangout, or the like. It’s your space; use it how you see fit.

While all events must be free and open to the public, you may ask for tips! All donations are allowed on the Open Street. Just not direct sales (merchandise, tapes, etc.) of any kind unless it’s during one of our permitted markets.
