Season 6 Week 11

Start spreading the news…

It’s press release official now: the first phase of the 31st Ave ‘bike boulevard’ is complete. (And here’s an article about it, too.) 26,000 spankin’ new square feet of public space, folks. How fun!

And that’s not all—we got $25,000 from NYC SBS to bring a bunch of art to the Open Street! You can read the whole press release here, but the short of it is this: we’re teaming up with Talisa Amonte to bring five projects from local artists to the block in the coming year. About to be colorful out here!

Now, let’s see what folks are talking about:

Support the Open Street

It takes a lot to run the 31st Ave Open Street, such as renting storage space, paying for insurance, or buying supplies like extra chairs, sidewalk chalk, and trash bags to keep our street clean. We list a few of the materials that we are in frequent need of on our donation page. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we also take tax-deductible donations via our Givebutter campaign for those who would like to contribute financially.

We also just launched a campaign to fundraise for this summer’s Community Cookout series.

Every bit helps and we appreciate your support in making 31st Ave a better place for all! Thank you!
